In our tests, we found that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to get rid of a large amount of debris on floors that were unfinished and a good amount on medium-pile rug. It was less effective with shag carpets, where it was unable to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It did a decent job of navigating the legs of chairs and tight spaces as well as the bottom of an wooden IKEA step stool. It was a bit slower on floors with no flooring but it quickly recovered and performed better than the other robots we tried.
The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on charge and is more capable of maneuvering itself over obstacles. It has mopping tools that can clean up sticky messes. On the other side the iRobot feels better-built, has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement and has lower recurring costs and creates virtual no-go zones with its companion app. It can continue cleaning from where it left off, even if its battery runs out before it's finished. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice commands, which is a huge plus for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't one of the most feature-rich models, but it does offer great cleaning power at an affordable price. Then, you can manually guide the device around the obstacle and return it to working.
The BoostIQ mode is another fantastic feature of the eufy11S. It allows you to configure the robot to automatically adjust the suction strength based on the floor type and the amount of the mess. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S to where you'd like it to move.
If you don't have a lot of furniture in the space where you want to vacuum Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy can spend 30 minutes cleaning the space it's assigned to.
